Jacob van Campen is appreciated for his architecture and the decoration of a vast number of palaces.
He decorated the Orange-hall (Oranjezaal) of the Palace 'Huis ten Bosch' (1647-51), and also decorated the Honselaarsdijk Palace(1635-49).
He painted religious subjects, myhological and allegorical ones, portraits and still-lives.HS292
He is well-know for the architecutre of the Royal Palace in Amsterdam.(LR)
