He made portraits, medals, chinese faience, engravings of cityscapes and landscapes.

The first ancestor of Cornelis Pronk was a certain Pieter Symonsz Pronk. His father (Symon) came from a village called 'De Rijp' at a few kilometres north of Amsterdam.
Jacob's ancestor Symon Pronk comes from the same region (Landsmeer village).
The foundation 'Family Archives Pronk' are investigating a common denominator of all Pronks.(PS276)
