On this page, you can follow how Jacob makes a work in colour-pencil on a sheet of plastic transparent 'paper' (satinised polypropylene).
He uses protective paper bands where he mustn't draw on the places where an imaginary wooden fence is supposed to be.

1 He nearly always start with the face, and in particular the eyes, the nose and the mouth.

2 Here he finished the face.

3 And then the hair.

4 Now a start of the body, the décolleté.

5 He glued some paper bands on the drawing, where he musn't draw.

6 Now a start of the legs.

7 And the knees.

8 Still lower.

9 A foot.

10 And the other.

11 Time has come to remove the protective bands.

12 One arm was still missing.

13 The last details and an integral correction of the colours.
