fiancée of Fritz von Schintling, but she died before her marriage
after a painting of Joseph Karl Stieler made in 1831

This portrait was finished in 1831 when Amalia von Schintling was 19 years old.
She was the daughter of Major Lorenz von Schintling (General Quarters Staff) and his wife Baroness Theresia von Hacke.
She was about to marry her cousin named Fritz von Schintling,
who had great objection over her portrait to be done and enlisted in the Gallery of Beauty
but finally the painting was done with the permission of her father.
She died of tuberculosis very young after some days of painting and marriage could never took place.
