Unknown lady

This is a somewhat mysterious painting, because of the signature Coontz.
The family Coontz is of German descent, originally named Kuntz.
After having lived for some time in the Elsace-region, the family moved to the USA and changed their name in Coontz.
The signature indicates that this painting was made in the USA, but the style, the framing and the purchase indicate that the painting was made in France.
It is a 19th century painting of a still unknown lady.
