Daniel is mentioned in the papers of the 'Confrèrie Pictura' of The Hague, as being a pupil of Arnold van Ravesteyn, in 1664.
He also was a pupil of Caspar Netscher.
He became a real member of the Confrèrie in 1669, where he became a high ranked person.
He also became the governor of the Art Academy, but he died in poor circumstances.
He was the teacher of Michiel Godijn, Richard van Bleeck, Dirck Kindt and Abraham van Hoogstraten.
Jacob found out that his son Philip Haringh (Philippus Haring) (The Hague 10-08-1679 - The Hague? ?), was also a member of the Confrèrie.
