Born in the Dutch East Indies, during the colonial era, Jenny Dalenoord had the choice between drawing and the piano.
She chose for the illustrations and she went to te Art Academy in the Hague.
Her carreer developped right after WWII, after having won prestigeous contests.
She became a very active member of the Pulchri Studio society, working on a vast quantity of illustrations, especially for books for children.
But she also made many paintings, drawings, water-colours etc.
