Arthur Janzen had to leave his land of origin (near Tashkent) in 1930/31.
He completed his courses at the Art Academy of Arnhem (Holland) and then settled in Brasil.
During WWII, he worked as a liaison-officer between queen Wihelmina and the future dutch queen Juliana.
After WWII, he became a diplomat, in Moscou and in Karatchi.
He produced quite a number of paintings, very often depicting his life in his young years, among the nomads.
The last days of his life, he lived in Thailand, where he produced artistic pottery.
