Van Eyck - Van Eick

A relation between Anna van Eyck, spouse of Gerrit de Hooch, and Maria van Eick, spouse of Hendrick Uylenburg isn't impossible. This would mean that Rembrandt wasn't only a part of Jacob's grandmother's family from his father's side, but also from his grandfather's from his father's side.
